Les Miserables School Edition

Les Miserables School Edition is an epic story about the survival of the human spirit, with music and scenes adapted for younger performers from the award-winning musical. In nineteenth century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the young revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter.

The Mainstage program features performers in grades 1 - 12. These dedicated young people must audition to be in the program, and they rehearse three times a week for a month to prepare for our biggest productions of the year. Mainstage shows occur in Summer and Winter at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Tickets are available to the public. We also strongly encourage school groups, camp groups, and scout troops to attend!
