PARTICIPATION POLICY
There is no absence policy for the dance program, but we encourage students to attend as many classes as they can. Each week, we will be building on the routine from the week before. Students who miss too much may start to struggle to keep up. That being said, we created this program to accommodate kids we know are involved in lots of other activities or who may be auditioning professionally. It is not recital-based, but more of a workshop where you get out of it what you put in! Please note that there are no refunds/credits.

SCHEDULE
Grades 2-4: Sundays @ 10:00am-10:45am
Grades 5-9: Sundays @ 1:00pm-1:45pm
DESCRIPTION
Every class will begin with a comprehensive jazz warm up and across the floor routine. Then, every few weeks students will learn a new combination from a different Broadway Musical. The program will culminate in a small presentation of the student’s favorite dance so that friends and family can see the skills they have learned and progress they have made. This program is for the young musical theater performer who would like to become as confident in their dance ability as they are in singing and acting training. This class will allow young musical theater performers to walk into a dance audition or dance rehearsal with confidence. The student will also gain a solid understanding of technique and expand strength and flexibility.

K-2 & 3-5
COST
$200 ($25 additional for those participating in recital)
SPRING SCHEDULE
Apr. 6, 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25, June 1*

Grades K-2: Saturdays @ 12:00pm-1:00pm
Grades 3-5: Saturdays @ 5:00pm-6:00pm
Lead by Instructor Katherine Robinson, this class focuses on healthy singing. Sessions begin with vocal warm ups, which are used to improve vocal technique (breath support, sound placement, articulation, increasing vocal range, etc.). These exercises are then applied to the repertoire prepared in class. A variety of musical theater repertoire will be introduced, from classic to contemporary, spanning a range of eras and composers. We may also sing other genres, such as pop, country, or classical, so that students are exposed to a wide range of styles. Group voice provides the opportunity for both choral and solo singing and the songs learned will help students begin to assemble a repertoire book for auditions and/or performances. Optional participation in the Spring Voice Recital will conclude the class. For more information and to register, click here.
