2017 WINTER WORKSHOP PRODUCTION: Grades 3-8

Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

REFUND POLICY
There are no refunds or credits.

PARTICIPATION POLICY
Please do not register if you have any conflicts. Absences and/or "shadowing" (making up a missed rehearsal) are not permitted during two-week intensives. If your child misses a rehearsal (due to illness or otherwise), continuation in the program will be at the discretion of the Producer. Performers may not be late for the last three sessions. Performers who are late to a full run-through or dress rehearsal, for whatever reason, even for illness, are not permitted to perform in the show. Be sure to read our Standard Agreement before you register.

WAIT LIST / PRIORITY REGISTRATION
There is no cost to join a wait list. If a spot becomes available, we will email you and you can decide at that time if you would like to take it. If we are not able to find a spot for your child in any group, your child will receive priority registration for the next Jellybeans production. That means that you will be given the opportunity to register the day before the program opens to the public. In most cases, this means you will get a spot in your first choice group. To find out where your child is on a wait list (you can join as many as you want, even if you are already in a group), email our Registration Team at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . It is difficult for us to know if/when that will happen, but typically children drop right before the program starts.

NOTE TO PARENTS
The RFKT workshop schedule is designed to be manageable for families and children. The commitment is just once a week, with only one extra rehearsal right before the show. Each performer can take up to one full absence, plus up to two "shadows," which allows performers to come during another section, if they have a conflict during their own time. The mandatory rehearsals leading up to the show are extremely important and ensure that every cast member is comfortable and prepared when it is time to do the show.

PLEASE READ OUR STANDARD AGREEMENT BEFORE REGISTERING

Special Note: As of Spring 2017, the Participation Policy has been updated. Please read the entire policy. Returning families should take special note of the underlined items, which denote recent policy changes.

For Sessions 1 – 8: Children may take up to 1 absence. Additional absences due to illness are permitted solely at the discretion of the director. Children may also shadow* up to 2 rehearsals (see description below). If a child is 30 minutes late to rehearsal twice, this will count as one full absence, per the absence policy. Please note that Session 8 is now 3 hours long.

For Sessions 9 – 10 (Mandatory): Children are required to participate in the dress rehearsal and the final dress/performance for his/her own cast. Switches, shadowing, and absences are not permitted for Sessions 9 or 10.

Participants who do not comply with this participation policy may be removed from the program and their account put On Hold, as described in RFKT's Standard Agreement, until parents, participant and RFKT can reach agreement moving forward. Please note that there are no refunds/credits.

*A shadow is like a make-up. If your child misses a session, s/he can make-up the same session with another group. For example, if you are in group B and miss session 3, you can shadow session 3 with group C.
