Spring Jellybeans (grades K - 2) Production...
WORLD PREMIER! Based on the famous books by L.M. Montgomery, with music by Brennan Johnson, lyrics by Brian Blythe and book by Kristin Madden. The orphan Anne Shirley’s dreams are finally coming true as her train pulls into Bright River Train Station, where her new life is about to begin at the home of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. However, a mix-up at the orphanage threatens to de-rail Anne’s future, as it turns out that the Cuthberts were expecting a boy! Luckily, Matthew takes a shine to Anne, convincing the ever-sensible Marilla to let her stay awhile. Anne’s sharp tongue and fiery temper get her into trouble more than once around town, but she always lands on her feet, even when arch-enemy Gilbert Blythe dares her to walk on the roof of the schoolhouse. With equal parts imagination and determination, Anne finds a new best friend, a family, and a place to call home as she becomes Anne of Green Gables.
