Musical Theatre Audition Workshop
with Aileen Quinn

The Broadway Workshop comes to Random Farms Kids Theater for this incredible Musical Theatre Workshop with RFKT Director Marc Tumminelli and Broadway/Film Star Aileen Quinn. Aileen starred as "Annie" in the famous 1982 film version of ANNIE! This one day Workshop gives students the opportunity to work on every area of musical theater performance. We will focus on giving young actors the tools necessary to help them stand out from the crowd and bring their performances to the next level.

Each student should prepare one theatre song for this workshop. Topics covered are:

   * Song Interpretation
   * Voice Coaching
   * Group singing
   * Dance Combination
   * Musical Theatre Audition Technique
   * Autographs and Q & A with Aileen Quinn

Aileen Quinn — Aileen has had a diverse career for over 20 years working in Film, TV, Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre, Voice overs and Recordings. At the age of 9 Aileen shot to stardom when she took on the title role in the 1982 film version of Annie starring Carol Burnett and Albert Finney. Some of her favorite roles include: "Tessie" in the Broadway Production of Annie, "Princess Zora" in the film "Frog Prince," "April Coregory" in the world premier Irish play "That Was Then," "Molly " in the regional production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, "Chava" in the National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof, "Bet" in the Papermill production of Oliver and more recently "Annette" in the 1st National Tour of Saturday Night Fever.

Aileen graduated with honors from Drew University and is currently a drama professor at Monmouth University.

CONFLICTS
  • Please do not register if you have more than 1 conflict that cannot be resolved by "shadowing" (i.e. coming during another section).

  • Please do not register if you have to shadow more than twice.

  • Dress rehearsals may not be missed or shadowed.  If a performer misses (or is late to) a dress rehearsal, he/she will not be permitted to perform in the show.

COST
* The costs of the workskhops are: Jellybeans $350, Workshop $395, Advanced $425.  This includes your child's costume(s), with the exception of appropriate shoes and tights (to be discussed in rehearsals), which are to be provided by the parent.
* Tickets to the show are not included in the registration price.  Tickets are $6 each for Jellybeans and $8 for  Workshops.

REFUND POLICY (Please read before you register!)
* There are absolutely no refunds or credits given for any reason.
* Please make sure you are able to commit before you register because there are no credits or refunds.
* If your child is not able to participate in a workshop, your child will be replaced (by the producer) by a child from the waiting list; you may not independently find someone to take your child's spot and have them pay you privately for your child's place.
* Performers who miss more than 1 rehearsal (or have more than 2 lates), will not be permitted to continue with rehearsals or participate in the performance, at the discretion of the Producer.  This includes absences due to sickness, auditions and family functions, etc.
* If your child is not able to participate in a workshop, your forfeited registration fee will not be treated as a donation or charitable contribution

Melissa Hamburg, a top NYC headshot photographer, will be coming to The Random Farms Performing Arts Center (77 Executive Blvd., Elmsford) for RFKT's "Headshot Day."  Kids and teens can get their headshots taken for only $105!!  This includes a digital session (aprox. 36 shots) and a CD of all images.  All shots will be taken in color, but can be converted to black and white later if you choose.

Everyone should bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope to their session.  The envelope should be large enough to hold a CD, with enough postage to mail a CD in a slim-line jewel case.
