The RFKT workshop schedule is designed to be manageable for families and children. The commitment is just once a week, with only one extra rehearsal right before the show. Each performer can take up to one full absence, plus up to two "shadows," which allows performers to come during another section, if they have a conflict during their own time. The mandatory rehearsals leading up to the show are extremely important and ensure that every cast member is comfortable and prepared when it is time to do the show.
Please do not register if you have more than 1 conflict that cannot be resolved by "shadowing" (i.e. coming during another section).
Please do not register if you have to shadow more than twice.
Dress rehearsals may not be missed or shadowed. If a performer misses (or is late to or leaves early from) a dress rehearsal, he/she will not be permitted to perform in the show.
Rehearsals marked as mandatory may not be missed or shadowed If a performer misses (or is late to or leaves early from) a mandatory rehearsals, he/she will not be permitted to perform in the show.
REFUND POLICY (Please read before you register!)
There are absolutely no refunds or credits given for any reason.
Please make sure you are able to commit before you register because there are no credits or refunds.
If your child is not able to participate in a workshop, your child will be replaced (by the producer) by a child from the waiting list; you may not independently find someone to take your child's spot and have them pay you privately for your child's place.
Performers who miss more than 1 rehearsal (or have more than 2 lates), will not be permitted to continue with rehearsals or participate in the performance, at the discretion of the Producer. This includes absences due to sickness, auditions and family functions, etc.
If your child is not able to participate in a workshop, your forfeited registration fee will not be treated as a donation or charitable contribution
RFKT is thrilled to be the resident children's theater at The Tarrytown Music Hall. While we do most of our performances there, occasionally a performance has to be rescheduled (to a different date, time and/or location) due to conflicts or "double bookings" at the theater. We do our best to prevent this, but sometimes it is not possible. In several years, it has only happened a few times. Should a performance need to be rescheduled, and you are not available for the new show time or location, you will be refunded the "performance fee" in the amount of $125. Since this is a process-oriented program, children are encouraged to continue attending rehearsals, even if they cannot perform on the rescheduled date.
COST
The cost for a Jellybeans (grades K-2) production is $370 and for a Workshop (grades 3-8) is $420. This includes your child's costume(s), with the exception of appropriate shoes and tights (to be discussed in rehearsals), which are to be provided by the parent. Tickets to the show are not included in the registration price. Tickets are $6 each for Jellybeans and $8 for Workshops.

Costume Fittings
Here is some important info about costumes and costume fittings- Please read this entire post. Costumes for "Guys and Dolls" are being built/bought from scratch, therefore all costumes may not be ready by the fitting dates. NOT EVERYONE IS BEING CALLED TO THIS FITTING*. For those that are: Please discuss with your child that some people will need to try on actual pieces of clothing, some may just be measured, and some may have costumes just held up to them. *If your childs' costume is not ready on fitting day, no worries. Either I will catch up with your child at a future rehearsal OR your childs' costume will be waiting for them at their 1st dress rehearsal. You and your child need only view the photos of past productions in the Gallery section of the RFKT website for reassurance that everyone will look great in the costume they are given; even if they don't see it till dress rehearsal. Costumes are shared by all the children in all the groups and alterations are made only when it is your childs' turn to wear it. Costumes are never taken home; same is true if you are borrowing our shoes.
Scheduled costume fitting times are either just before or just after a scheduled rehearsal to save parents/caregivers extra trips to Elmsford. If your child absolutely cannot attend his group's scheduled fitting he can come to ANY OTHER GROUP'S SCHEDULED FITTING INCLUDING JELLYBEANS FITTING TIMES (click on Jellybeans on website for their schedule). Siblings in different groups can attend together if desired. Children should report to the costume room at start of fitting time. Parents should wait for their child in the lobby. Address all costume questions to terri@randomfarms.com and please check the website for all costume info. Thanking you in advance for your patience and cooperation, Terri Canziani, Costumer
